Vocabulary

Cohesion Coherence

  • Unlike real life, we still must use linking words in an informal letter for a good score in this category.
  • Try introducing and linking ideas using informal fillers like we do in speaking.
  • Transitions using ‘you‘ are good here, like “This may surprise you, but…

Grammar

  • For IELTS, it doesn’t matter what kind of writing you are doing, you must use a variety of sentence structures.
