How to get a 7 on IELTS Writing
Joglas notes that even in his first language, Portuguese, he’s not confident in his writing.
So, he studied all the 3 Keys IELTS strategies, and practiced each essay about 15 times, doing more Task 2’s than Task 1’s.
The hardest part for Joglas was organizing his ideas coherently.
He says he memorized all the linking words in sequence, so he was very clear about how to organize his essay.
You need to learn one specific way of organization, and commit yourself to learning and using that.
Joglas even had an extra 10 minutes at the end for proofreading his writing!
He also notes that taking the computer-based IELTS exam made writing easier.

How to get an 8.5 on IELTS Listening
He says that learning all the tricks, traps and strategies were vital, and then he did loads of practice tests.
Furthermore, he listens to tech podcasts at least 3 times a week, and also started listening to podcasts made for native speakers.

How to get a 7.5 on IELTS Reading
When he took the exam 2 years ago, he ran out of time and had to make a lot of guesses at the end.
This time, however, it was easy! He still had extra time to double check his answers at the end.
Follow the strategies: don’t read the whole passage and highlight key words in the questions.
How to get a 7.5 on IELTS Speaking
Firstly, he does already live in Canada, so that helps! However, IELTS is not daily conversation.
Joglas had to actively improve his vocabulary. He used the words in his vocabulary notebook every time practiced speaking.
Also, he says to practice IELTS Speaking Part 2 a lot so you are ready to talk about anything for two minutes.
