Today you’ll learn how to answer IELTS Part 1 questions about making things by hand.

Students are getting flustered on the exam these days when they’re asked these questions.

The key to conquering this topic is by expanding what you’re thinking about in regards to crafting things by hand.

Furthermore, if you’re consuming native speaker media, like TV shows and podcasts, you’ll come across this term, ‘make by hand‘, more often, and, thus, have more to say about it.

For instance, making things by hand does not just mean big things, like furniture and such.

This could apply to so many activities!

You could talk about cards, baked goods like cookies and brownies, special notes, or even snowmen!

IELTS Part 1 Question: How often do you make things by hand?

Notes from Lindsay’s answer:

  • not really a crafty person
  • 100% made by hand
  • grilled cheese
  • slap on some nice cheddar cheese… avocado
  • sauce or jam

Notes from Jessica’s answer:

  • carry forth these traditions
  • knitting, crochet, needle point
