What should you do?

Go to the strategy of being honest if you don’t know.

Use a good vocabulary word or idiom like “Ok so that came out of left field but if I have to have an opinion on this I would say…”

Other good phrases to show surprise:

  • That was a curve ball…
  • That came out of left field…

 

**Pro tip! Use a concession if you need to fill time:

If you don’t have a lot of content to share in your answer then you can fill time by mentioning what the other side’s perspective is and then explain why you disagree and how your opinion is different.
