Today you’ll learn three ways for hitting 150 words in IELTS Task 1 essays!hitting 150 words ielts task 1

We had an interesting question in our course’s closed Facebook group:

I have a problem with the writing module because I am a technician specialist. I write everything in short and only main information. When I try to write Task 1, it’s always about 100-120 words. How can I increase that? In the end, all my ideas just end and I don’t know what else I can add.

IELTS Writing Task 1 has to be at least 150 words.

We recommend a maximum of 180 words for time management.

For IELTS Writing Task 2, brainstorming is the key here.

However, for Task 1, you’re not allowed to give your own ideas or opinions.

So, let’s take this step by step!

#3 Add descriptions

For every number you give in your essay, you need to label it. Tell the examiner why it’s important, and describe it using adjectives and adverbs.

In the example sentence above, the phrase  ‘astounding apex‘ is used.
